Mother of Darkness Castle Since I changed the url I've found it curious that my hit count for the page hasn't changed much. I still seem to get about the same number as before. Something I find even more curious is that most of them are coming from Europe and people searching for information on the Mother of Darkness Castle (Chateau de Amerois) in Belgium. That may be due to so little information being available on it. To me it seems like that creepy old house in town that everyone whispers is haunted but on a global scale. My involvement with it is only that I recorded an audio program about it having stumbled across it while doing research for a project at work. I found it very mysterious and therefore interesting. Perhaps one day the owner will mail me an invitation to visit.

Changes Well things are a little different now. I ditched the mainstream url that was www.nocturnesociety.com because in the total number of hits I've gotten since 2003 has been a little over 6000. So people just aren't enough people interested in the site to justify the cost of the url. Also it takes the pressure off updating the site since I'm not out there pushing it. So basically if something interesting comes around I'll surely share it but that's about the extent of my updates.

Bigfoot A Hoax... Again Seriously is anyone really surprised? Here is a couple links about the hoax. The DNA evidence said the samples were from a human and a opossum. They were quite frank about their plans on cashing in on their find but their honesty shined through in my favorite quote from the interview, “We ain’t makin’ no money till dis thang is proovin’ real.” Aren't we all proud the world was watching.

More Than Footprints Two hunters claim to have found the body of a bigfoot and have it on ice. They released a photo which shows a body of what appears to be a ape-like creature in a freezer. Nocturne Society Evening Campfire Event Thanks to a local reader I may have located a venue for my Campfire Event here in Madison Wisconsin (yes, it will be indoors). The event consists of a gathering of ghost stories and strange tales. All that is required to attend is a ghost story to share. So everyone that attends shares their tales with everyone else and if all goes well by the time it's over we should be scared out of our minds with thoughts of the supernatural. The plan is to make this a monthly or bi-monthly event if it's successful. I'm currently trying to get a feel for the level of interest and attendance but seats are limited. New Interview. I recently finished the book House of Spirits & Whispers by Annie Wilder. It's a true story of the spirit encounters she had after purchasing a 100 year old home. Happy 2007 Well now that all that holiday stuff is over with we can get back to the things that go bump. As always I hope to get more accomplished this year with the Nocturne Society. The Wisconsin winter wind blowing around out there makes it tough but hopefully this spring and summer I can get out there to poke around. Until then I will post anything strange that I come across. As far as the audio program goes I'm going to back off that a bit. I found myself doing them just for the sake of doing them rather than doing it because I found something interesting to report. But if I have something to say or have an interesting person that wishes to tell their stories I will of course do an audio program. Hunt for the Skinwalker After hearing numerous interviews with the authors I finally decided to pick up the book. I'm only on chapter 5 and have already decided that the Skinwalker Ranch is a place I do not want to visit. I'd say it's about the only place I've ever heard of that scares me. They seem to have every form of strangeness there but it's the mind-altering alien presence that turns me off the most. I've got enough problems without being abducted as well. Great Paranormal Radio Program Through MySpace I found a really nice paranormal radio show. It's called "The Darkness on the Edge of Town" and is located at www.darknessradio.com. The show is very professional with big names in the paranormal as guests. You can either listen to the live broadcasts on Sunday evenings or download the MP3 archived programs. Garden Gnomes Caught on Tape! Here are a couple video I was sent that are apparently filmed in Argentina. They are kind of creepy but the fact that there are two makes me feel it's fake. Also because it's garden gnomes. :) Pretty good fake though. The first one is long and nothing happens until around 1:20 so feel free to FF.

Juvenile Bigfoot Caught on Film? I hunter apparently was using a motion sensor on a camera to spot for deer and instead spotted a bigfoot.

Roman Ghost Captured on Video? It appears an elderly group where video taping the annoying youngsters and captured something else. Or did they? Looks pretty iffy to me. The video is posted with the article.
